Stacking the Shelves is a weekly haul meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, and it’s an opportunity to share the books we’re adding to our shelves each week. The books can be physical or virtual, purchased or borrowed from the library, or even gifted or for review.
I haven’t participated in Stacking the Shelves before, but it looks like a lot of fun! I love sharing what books I’ve gotten during the week with friends and family, so Stacking the Shelves is a no brainer 🙂 I may not post every week, because I don’t always get books that often, but I’ll do it when I can. So, here I go!
I shouldn’t be allowed to go to Big W. I went there THREE times this week, and each time I bought at least one book. It’s ridiculous, I can’t even control myself…
The Year of the Rat was my first purchase of the week and I’ve heard some great things about, it should be a good read (I hope!). But I’m not starting with that one, I’ve already cracked open Hard Choices and I only bought it earlier today. I have so much respect for Hillary Rodham Clinton, and this should be an interesting read about her four years as Secretary of State in the Obama Administration.
I bought these on my second foray for the week, and it was either these covers or another type that looked way too similar to my covers for The Hunger Games. So, I stuck with these! They were such a steal, I couldn’t resist 🙂 I’ve heard good things (haven’t we all!) and hopefully I’ll get around to reading them soon.
Hold Still by Nina LaCour
Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park
The Wanderer by Robyn Carr
Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo
Slammed by Colleen Hoover
Where She Went by Gayle Forman
Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
Right of Way by Lauren Barnholdt
I’ll have these stages where I’ll go through my TBR shelf on Goodreads and see whether my library has any of the books I want to read. Some of these books are from that TBR list and others are random books I stumbled across in the library when I went in. All of them are authors I haven’t read before. There’s no guarantee I’ll actually read all of these; I’m particularly not sure if I’ll actually read Les Misérables but I thought I’d give it a shot 🙂 Also, I can’t read Where She Went yet, because I’m still waiting on If I Stay, the first book in the duology…
There you have it, that’s my post for the week! Did you add any new books to your shelf this week?
